Croatia here we come again!
From 2022 until August 2024, my husband and I lived and worked in Croatia, mainly around Split and Trogir. Those years shaped us deeply creatively, emotionally, and personally. Croatia gave us space to slow down, to grow, and quite literally to grow as a family, as I became pregnant with our little bean.
In August 2024, we returned to Switzerland. Coming home felt like the right thing to do, to have family and friends close by, and a sense of grounding during a time when everything was changing.
In December 2024, our daughter was born, and life has looked very different since then. Becoming a mother has shifted my perspective, not only on life itself, but also on the way I photograph newborn, maternity, and family sessions. I no longer observe these moments only from the outside, I understand the emotions that come with these seasons of life on a very personal level. This allows me to connect with my clients more intuitively and create a calm, safe space during my photo sessions.
When I returned to Switzerland, where I’m originally from, everything felt familiar and grounding. After my maternity leave, I slowly started working again and photographed several weddings, family sessions and personal branding shoots across Zurich, Aargau, and Basel.
Coming back to Croatia
But if I’m honest, Croatia never really left us. It’s a place that still feels deeply familiar and creatively inspiring. And now, as a family, we’re preparing to move back to Croatia again this June, with a bit more experience, a bit less urgency, and a lot of gratitude.
This time, it feels different. More intentional. Less about discovering something new, and more about returning to a place that already feels like part of my story. Split and Trogir have become more than just beautiful locations for weddings and photoshoots, they feel lived-in, grounding, and quietly inspiring.
Croatia taught me to slow down, to trust moments as they unfold, and to work with light and emotion rather than against them. Those lessons are now deeply woven into how I photograph weddings, families, and everyday life.
Still Working in Switzerland as a Photographer
Although Croatia will become our main base again, Switzerland remains an important part of my work.
I already have several weddings booked in Switzerland for next summer, and I’ll continue traveling back and forth multiple times a year. This allows me to stay connected with both long-term and new clients in Switzerland, while continuing to create and live in Croatia.
To make planning easier, I’ll always share my availability for each country on my website and social media. That way, you’ll know when I’m in Croatia and when I’m in Switzerland, and bookings can stay simple and transparent.
At the heart of it all, nothing will really change business wise.
I’m looking forward to photographing weddings for the quiet moments in between, the nervous hands, the deep breaths, the laughter that comes out of nowhere. I love creating personal branding sessions that help individuals show up authentically and connect with their dream clients. I can’t wait to photograph more family sessions, maternity stories, engagements, proposals, and newborn moments.
Whether those moments happen by the seaside near Split, in the streets of Zurich, in Aargau’s countryside, or in a Lenzburg apartment filled with soft morning light, the intention stays the same.
Looking ahead
If you’ve been following my work for a while, thank you for being here. If you’re new, welcome.
I’m grateful for every couple, family, business, and individual who trusts me with their stories, whether in Croatia or Switzerland.
And if you’re planning something meaningful, a wedding, a growing family, or a new chapter in your business, I’d love to be part of it, wherever you are.
